Origami Frogs and Other Folding Stuff
I've always loved origami and small stuff so I thought I should really combine the two.
The frog is a perfect bit of pub origami, simple to do and actually looks a bit like it's supposed to.
Here are a couple of links to some frog folding diagrams, the middle one is my favourite.
I used a piece of paper about 3cm by 3cm and ended up with a frog about 8mm long. Christian Elbrandt, Denmark, has apparently folded a 2.77 millimetres long frog using a pocket lens, scalpel and tweezers. The frog achieved a jump of 103 millimetres. Guinness Book of Records, Denmark 1995. My attempt was just done using my stubby little fingers but I'm gonna see if I can go any smaller!
For a bit of an incentive if you fold a little frog send a pic of it to me, with a ruler next to it for scale and folder of the smallest frog I receive will win a nice little plant from my stock.
